About PGA WORKS

PGA WORKS is a strategic initiative, designed to diversify the golf industry’s workforce. Funded by PGA REACH, the 501(c)(3) charitable foundation of the PGA of America, PGA WORKS leverages fellowships, scholarships, career exploration events, and the PGA WORKS Collegiate Championship to inspire and engage talent from diverse backgrounds to pursue key employment positions across the golf industry.

The PGA WORKS Virtual Career Expo engages industry leaders and partners to deliver professional development and career awareness experiences. Thank you again for your support and commitment to PGA WORKS and our goal of creating a more inclusive workforce.

  • PGA WORKS has awarded 30 Scholarships since 2018.
  • PGA WORKS Fellowship alumni have a  85% job placement rate in golf since 2017.
  • PGA WORKS Fellows have worked in 9 different PGA Section offices.
  • In 2021 the PGA WORKS Collegiate Championship hosted 189 student-athletes from 41 HBCUs, HSIs, and MSI's.

HOW TO PREPARE

  • Register for the Career Expo and upload your resume. Resumes can be edited until the day of the event.
  • View a list of participating employers and the positions for which they are recruiting by exploring employer booths prior to the expo.
  • Make a list of organizations that you are interested in and research them.
  • Wear business attire in accordance with your gender expression for the video chats.

Make Golf Your Career” is a branch of the collaborative golf industry-wide campaign of “Make Golf Your Thing”. The purpose of “Make Golf Your Career” is to identify, attract, inspire and develop a pool of diverse talent to join the golf industry and connect them with industry employers. This aligns with the overall purpose of “Make Golf Your Thing” - to ensure the future of golf is open to everyone. This multi-faceted, multi-year campaign will work to invite more people to the sport from all backgrounds to enjoy the game of a lifetime – their way.
